This is the classic arcade/computer game Asteroids.

If you have never played or know nothing about Asteroids: You are in a ship with a basic gun. On the map with you are various asteroids. Shooting an asteroid will cause it to split into smaller asteroids. These smaller asteroids may themselves split into smaller asteroids when shot. If an asteroid cannot be broken down into a smaller size, it is destroyed. If something goes off the edge of the screen - an asteroid, one of your shots, you - they will reappear on the opposite side of the screen.

If you're shooting an asteroid, hold down the fire button to fill the area with bullets until the smaller asteroids have all been destroyed. Otherwise they'll drift apart and you'll need to hunt them down later. If you don't control the spread of small asteroids, they'll start filling up the screen with lots of small objects that you'll need to dodge.

You do have a few tricks that the original Asteroids didn't have - Telefold, Time Levee, and Evasive Maneuvers. Of course, using them means not getting Old Fashioned.

Your brakes aren't very good, so if you start moving it might take longer than you want to stop.

Destroying a blue asteroid will create energy bolts that will seek out and destroy other asteroids.

Completing this mission will give you the Nova Macro.
