There are 5 basic types of Powerups:

  • Damage
  • Haste
  • Mitigation
  • Repair
  • Resupply

The first 3 of these are permanent and will increase Damage, decrease cooldown and decrease damage taken by 10% when they are collected. They can be collected 5 times per life each; afterwards they will become greyed out and you will no longer be able to collect them. The effects dissipate on death.

The last two are temporary bonuses. Repair heals you by 30 points per tick, so about 100 (?) HP per second. Resupply  increases energy regen, increases cooling, and refills all payload when picked up. These bonuses only last  five seconds from when they are picked up, so time their consumption carefully.

Bonus distribution[edit | edit source]

Depending on where the powerup came from, it can only be picked up by certain factions. If the powerup was dropped by an enemy, only you and your allies can collect it. If you or a teammate died and left the powerup behind, you will not be able to collect it, even though it's still glowing brightly on your screen.

Powerups created by breaking pieces of terrain (most often Crates) can be picked up by all factions.

Plex[edit | edit source]

Plex takes the form of a powerup, but actually yields no benefit in the level or the scenario itself. Instead, it will give whoever collects it (see above) a certain amount of plex, from 500 to 2500. The amount appears to be dependent on the color of the pickup.

Recognizing a pickup[edit | edit source]

They also emit a faint buzzing sound at close range, whether you can pick them up or not.
